I’ve been buying and selling on EBay since like 2004. I bought something that was in no way as described... seller asked if I still wanted the item that wasn’t in the picture that is part of it... I said yes... they never responded and mailed it the next day. It came missing 46 parts (of 301)... listed as having 301 parts and says “complete” in the title.... it came filthy dirty. I left bad feedback... only the second time I’ve ever left below 5 stars, and with over 300 purchases and sales... he went on a messaging tirade and responded to my feedback with a lie. I told him I’d change my review to three stars if he stopped messaging, and he said I’d need to delete my feedback altogether. Haven’t heard back from EBay, but my address is still showing in the transaction and I don’t want this psycho to have access to my address still. What can I do?

I never expect to get what is not photo'd without asking first.
That being said, if the listing says "complete" and that it has 301 items, It should be both.
Questions for you 1. Did you email the seller before leaving the bad feedback and ask where the other parts are and give them a chance to correct the issue? 2. Didnt the question about the tree ring a red flag, why didnt you verify at that point that all 301 pieces were there, including the items not photographed?
Personal opinion, If not, you jumped the gun. People make mistakes. The seller should have the chance to make it right, specially when it's not photographed. They may not have known the pieces were missing (and/or were too lazy to count all 301 pieces). -- You could also return the item at the seller's cost if you are seriously dissatisfied with what you received
To answer you question, there is nothing you can do. Your address is part of the listing. It's part of buying online. If the seller has made threats and you feel they may follow through, report it to the police. Otherwise, they are probably just angry about the negative feedback and I wouldnt worry about it.
Lastly, you do have the ability to leave a response to their response, Buyer gets final word in feed back. Seller can not respond again. So if you have honestly given the seller the chance to make it right and they are being irrational, leave a truthful response and walk away. Dont let it effect you, the transaction is done.

Why not just open a INAD case and get a refund?

Wondering why then @natureboyhotstuff does it say "Complete" in the listing title?

I found the listing. It definitely says complete in the listing description. the 301pc is listed in the item specifics. The seller has other sets up, and has sold some - listings that say complete and some say incomplete. He should have known better. -- It still could have been a mistake. I know I have forgot to make changes to templates.
As a seller, I always bend over backwards to try to make it right if that happens. I never want a buyer to have less than advertised.
Of course, I need to be given that ability to correct the issue. If they leave a negative first, I feel they have made the decision that they do not want a correction of the issue. I just send an apology after I see the negative and inform them of their right to return for full refund. Whether they choose to return or not, I simply state in my feedback, that the return and full refund was offered. Not much more a seller can do at that point.

@maya7902 There is nothing for eBay to get involved in here, this is a dispute between a buyer and a seller. If you feel threatened then you need to report the messages to your local police. When you purchase online your address has to be shown. If you have concerns for that than you should open a PO Box. Frankly anyone who has your full name can Google it and get your home address within 60 seconds. The seller is just upset over the negative but he will get over it and stop messaging you in time. Best of luck to you....

thanks for tagging me so i can defend myself
i didnt know there was supposed to be a tree. i thought it was the vehicle and the 3 figures. sorry i didnt mean to scam anyone. the pics were very obvious as to what was included or not, even tho i made a mistake to write the word complete
before paying the buyer asked if the tree was included
before i could reply, they paid
before i sent the item i replied and said "i didnt know about a tree, do you still want it?"
they replied to me "yes please"
i mailed the product when i would have given them a complete refund there and then. also keep in mind my listing was the cheapest on ebay already
so i think its extremely unfair they would leave me negative feedback for something they were completely aware of and offered a chance at a refund for . not to mention, not asking for a refund after receiving the product before posting their negative feedback.
im not sure what the answer is. i feel like this person is playing a game over a $40 toy since ive tried to appease them every way i know how at this point.

i never threatened this person. id invite them to share any links or screen shots to anything i posted or sent them. im a 30+ year old adult. im not trying to get charged with a serious crime over a $45 lego set 😆
the theme of every correspondence ive had with the seller is basically "what do you want to fix this and make the negative feedback go away?" im am very frustrated that they were fully aware of the missing piece before i mailed the product. i would have edited my description if they didnt pay right away before i could even reply
the buyer has offered me no means what so ever to correct this situation. at this point i feel like they cant wait to mail me an empty box back and keep their toy and money 😆

Problem is, is that you listed it as one thing, a complete 75092 leggo set, which was supposed to include Shaggy, Zombie, Zeke and Scooby-Doo, while your incomplete set included Shaggy, FRED and Scooby-Doo. Fred was never part of the set, while the zombie and the tree, were.
You poorly researched the item and mis-listed it, in order to receive a premium price.
This one's completely on you.
I'm waiting for the screenshots of the conversation. So far, you've done everything you can to pawn YOUR mistake on the buyer.

thats fair. all i can say in reply to that is when he asked if there was a tree and i said "i didnt know about a tree, do you still want it? and their reply was "yes please", i dont get why this issue had to escalate past that point. if the buyer knew they were going to be this dissatisfied with my mistake, why didnt they take the refund and move on with their life? i wasnt out to mislead anyone, i would have happily relisted the product with a more accurate description if the buyer asked for a refund.
my point to is this is the seller knew exactly what was coming in that box and was already made clear that i messed up the description and no, they were not getting the tree that was not shown in any of the pics.
