App update problem

I have this problem: on my tablet Huawei with OS 8.0 with no possibility of updating, I can use Ebay but when a seller from USA or UK (I'm a EU citizen) make a proposal to lower the price, the EBay app says that it has to be updated but there is no update available on the play Store.

Do some of you encounter the same problem?

Use a browser to deal with offers if you are unable to update your phone.

Having an older OS may be why there are no updates available, So using your phone's browser to login manually with your username and password, to make offers should work, as the last reply suggested.

Before doing that do make sure to look in the right hand column on a listing page for Shipping: cost and service (Usually a domestic price and service) and click on the  see details button to make sure the seller will ship to your country.  If they do not, you will not be able to send offers, no matter what way you are logged in.

Thank, but no problem w. Phone nor PC. But  with a tablet Huawei OS 8 (surely obsolete), that J use only for my relations with eBay. Since so many years without problems. My query was:why this device became inadequate only for offers from no-EU countries. Best regards, muy obrigado.

Hallo, must be certainly so, a too obsolete device. Indeed the block does. Not arise neither w. Phone nor w. PC. The use of entry viabrowser don't fix the problem. Simple diagnosis, simple therapy--but no sure J will purchase another only for eBay. Thank you very much for your answer, best regards.

There is no commitment on the part of Ebay to produce updates to its Apps for obsolete equipment and operating systems. Older iphone users are seeing exactly the same problem, the latest app will not run on their old phones.

There is no commitment for the desktop site to be accessible from old browsers.
