All of a sudden it takes 14 days to get a book. Did I slip into a time machine back to the 70's?

Honestly, is this the result of DeJoy promising to 'slow the mail'? Congratulations! You succeeded! If it is for some other reason, can someone tell me if eBay changed shipping policies?

What shipping "class" was used?

Not sure this is the answer you're looking for, but books are usually sent media mail, the cheapest and also the slowest shipping method offered by the USPS.

Wasn't there an estimated delivery date in the listing when you made the purchase?

And you left neutral feedbacks for those sellers because of the slowness of media mail as offered by the USPS? Why?

For sure , it's the **bleep** De-ANTI Joy appointed by far, the worst president ever.   He was deliberately chosen to slow down the mail system. He took out alot of machinery.   First class mail is now trucked across the entire country.   Of course, those mail in ballots in November are going to be late.   I no longer ship anything media mail in my seller accounts. When the item is first class mail and the buyer lives far away, I ask them to be patient.     Also , there  are now less employees in the postal system due to retirements and also vacations.   My brother is a postal worker and his post office has 3 less employees now than 2 years ago.

This **bleep** needs to be replaced pronto.  He is definitely hurting online sales.

Not sure how eBay shipping policies relate to slow mail. Every eBay listing has estimated delivery dates. These are figured based on the seller's handling time and the class of service selected. If fast delivery is important to you, you should always check those estimated delivery dates before you buy.

Beyond that, yes, there have been delays with USPS for quite some time. That's something neither eBay nor the seller have any control over.

I thought Media Mail usually takes about a month to arrive.  Usually when I get Media Mail it takes 3 to 4 weeks.  Your lucky.  I've had one football card sent 1st class mail take 14 days to get here.  Another football card took 28 days to arrive.

If the book was sent media mail, it's not surprising that it took awhile.

Trying to establish from the OP if that was the case and also what the EDD was.

As a long Haul Trucker,Brandon has destroyed the shipping chain. The ports are backed up for a year.In some parts of the U.S.we can’t even get fuel much less afford it.Parts for trucks are non existent.Media mail is cheap and the USPS does not give it a priority of speed.

Because I contacted the Seller and got no response. Because I have been buying book for 20 years and they NEVER took this long. I KNOW they use media mail. Still. This is a very unfriendly place. Forget I asked.

Thank you! It just got a bit friendlier. Thank you for validating that things have changed. I’m sorry for your brother’s extra workload. I think eBay needs to address this.

Well it can be harsh on the boards: don't let it get to you.

I can be one of the worst.....

It may be one of the locations between you and your seller has an issue. Not unusual these days.

Do not let the time run out to file a claim.

Was it media mail ?  If so that never did win any awards for being quick.  Often took almost a month to arrive.

Trump installed him and Biden is keeping him. It's all one big club, folks. He tried to tell us!
