FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Note: If this thread gets off the ground, there are likely to be SPOILERS in here so don't read if you don't want to know what happened in the book!

Well, I stayed up until 1:30 a.m. last night to finish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - it was so good!

Anyone else finished with it yet...??? what did you think?!

I'm glad it didn't have quite the unfinished ending as Book IV, now waiting for the next book won't be quite so annoying... but I know it will be a l-o-n-g wait!

Anyway... what are your thoughts on it???

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

I was seriously hurting from laughing so long.  It was non-stop insanity.  If he's ever near here again I'm going again.  It was the BEST show I've ever seen.

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Sorry Fredi, didn't see your post!!! No, I have only done ONE SMALL BEDROOM.  The rest of the house is still a disaster!  BUT the storage room is looking more and more like a library every day, I've now got ALL the boxes out of the luandry room, and except for a bunch of camping gear on the laundry table, looks almost like a laundry room.

My sewing room is pretty much as I want it.  My bedroom is not, but will be before the weather turns.

I'm so glad it's a three day weekend. 😛

Kids get home tonight.  Have washed all the dirty clothes I found under and behind everything, have to sort about 500 socks and toss about 400 of them.  LOL!  I'll do that tonight watching a movie, kids land at 9pm

Hubby and I did get the shelves up, I've decided that I REALLY like molly screws and I know know what a 1/4" drill bit is and how to use it!!!  We used my dissapearing ink pens from the sewing room to mark the spots to drill, and I even have a little level and both 4 foot shelves are all up and ready to fill.  I just need to buy bookends.  We decided to put the two shelves end to end and make one long shelf all along one wall instead of two because the kids are still pretty short and it would be hard for them to get to the top shelf if we did them one above the other.

I feel like I've accomplished something!!!!  LOL!

Actually, that looks like something Hagrid would drive, although some of the words would be spelled wrong if it were his.

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Hello, loving the long weekend!!!!  BIG rain last night, impressive lightning.  Loved it!!!!

I FINALLY got to get started on my next sewing project since the Castle Quilt (that should be back from the quilter this next weekend, LOL!).

This star is called the Hunters' Star and I'm making a full sized quilt out of the pattern.  These are 4 blocks--each block is a 12" square (with four 6 1/2in squares making it up to 12in Block).  I did two of these blocks paperpieced, but then decided it would be quicker to regular piece them (and my arthritic hands are having a devil of a time picking the paper off the back of paper piecing now).  I've got to make a total of 42 blocks (38 more now, LOL!).  Hopefully be done by Christmas!!!  All the bitty pieces are now cut out and I put one block together in about half the time the piecing takes for this pattern.

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Hi yall!

I am still alive, all notifications to the contrary. Unable to make my ebay page deliver updates, so I'm saying howdy without any idea how or what you all are doing.

Moved, but still in Pacific NW. Hope all are well. I've been working, quilting for $$, working, studying for $$, working. Glad to be back in touch again, and will check in soon.

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Well tonks your whole pic didn't show, I'll see if it shows after I post!!

Glad you've got some rooms done! LOL I neen to work on the upstairs. For the most part the one room we have just dumped the stuff we didn't know where to put, lol. It's gong to be a spare bedroom, but it needs a lot of work! LOL

Downstairs is done, tho i think the hoard room needs a good cleaning! The mudroom and the pantry need to be painted and stuff hung on the walls, but well, I can't decide on a color! LOL So until I do they wait! We put the door in the pantry, so it needs finished! Also hubby is going to cut holes in the walls in the living room for the wood boiler to go to the upstairs furnace, so i'll have to repaint that! Joy...and I hate painting! LOL

Long weekend was nice, but i'm pretty sure i'm working on the flu or something...gosh I hurt all over, head hurts, even my hair hurts...and i just feel like crap...sigh...made for a sucky weekend camping 😞

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Oh man Fredi, it's really back to be sick camping!  I had an abscessed tooth once out in the middle of nowhere (on horseback, in the mountains, no such things as cell phones back then).  I thought i would die before I got to the dentist.

Sorry about the pictures, now I can't find my flippin' card reader!!!!

doh.

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Tonks, it's probly just ebay or my computer, lol...

Yes, it sure does suck to be sick camping. I felt a bit better yesterday afternoon, but today my fricken head hurts really bad. Its one of those thumping ones, you know what I mean? Not quite a migraine, but pretty stinking close? Sigh....

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Tonks, Nope, well some skeeters, lol...but then everybody did! LOL I *think* it's cuz there's still the 'new' smell in the camper from the osb/partical board he put up...the garage made me sick for awhile too, and I wasn't sleeping in there. Hubby said that was the last time we're camping, so perhaps, he can get the ceiling finished and enclose the 'new' wood and i won't be able to smell it anymore!

Right now i'm so full of snot, it's not even funny. They danged 'harvest' allergies hit early this year..cuz well, everyone's harvesting...I'm not looking forward to when they start combining the beans 😞

That may also be why I felt so icky the last couple of days too...

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Well, I went to the casino yesterday and the only thing I won was a bad case of food poisoning!  UGH.  The bus ride home was especially horrifying.  😮

Re: FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

CONGRATULATIONS FREDI!!!!

I'm 90% sure I'm over whatever it was.  I swear I should have lost half my body weight.  Drank about a gallon of blue gatorade, hate that stuff like you wouldn't believe.  I had some toast this morning and it stayed!  LOL

Now I'm trying to decide what I should try to eat now.  Looking at a bag of Reeses miniature butter cups and thinking, no.  Probably not.

Soup---?sigh  Not really hungry and I should be starved!
