what fee does eBay take when selling a graded baseball card?

I am not a dealer I just happen to have a baseball card that has been PSA graded and I want to sell it. How much of a fee does eBay take on the final sale price of baseball cards? Thanks

Select Collectibles categories:

  • Comic Books & Memorabilia
  • Non-Sport Trading Cards

Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop > Sports Trading Cards

Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games

  • 13.25% on total amount of the sale up to $7,500 calculated per item
  • 2.35% on the portion of the sale over $7,500

Here's the full fee list>  https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees?id=4822&st=

Do not use optional listing upgrades such as reserve price.  Start auctions at a price you will be happy with if you get just one bid.

If you see any fee at the bottom of the screen before you submit the listing then that fee is due even if the item doesn't sell.

Re: what fee does eBay take when selling a graded baseball card?

Assuming that you have listed the card in the correct category the fee is 13.25% of the total amount the buyer pays for the card including shipping charges and sales tax.  Plus a transaction fee of either 30 cents or 40 cents depending on the sales price.

Re: what fee does eBay take when selling a graded baseball card?

Thanks if you don't mind my asking for some advice I have a local dealer who keeps 20% of the sale of my card. I wonder if it makes more sense to go this route as I don't know what my card will sell for and I have already paid $40 for a PSA grade and shipping the card out etc. I need to get as much $$ as possible as that is what I need right now I have looked at the most recent sales for my card

1969 Topps #500 Mickey Mantle Last Name in Yellow PSA 4 Yankees

And there is quite a range.
Also I wouldn't know if I should list at a BIN price or auction. I mostly sell clothes on eBay so this is new to me. Thanks for you time, very kind.

@ruby3kids. I didn't do any research on the possible sale price but something to consider.... eBay does hold funds on sales over $1k for at least 30 days.

Vs selling to the card shop.

Pro on eBay is you can list at Auction with a price you'd be happy with if you get one bid and the bidding could go higher.
