I purchased some tie rod ends for my vehicle for $64.00 and want to return the item, they sent me an address in China. I went to the post office and they wanted $85.00 to send the item back contacted the seller and informed him of the situation and he has not responded. What can I do?

@hal-norma I need you to answer a couple of questions so can tell you your rights as a buyer.
#1 Did the seller send you a different item than listed? Or did you accidentally purchase the wrong item?
#2 Where did the seller ship from? ( if not sure you can provide the item number)

The item I purchased was supposedly the correct one for my vehicle, but when I took it to the shop they informed me that part was wrong part for my vehicle. The item number is 26-11765 80273

That is not a listing item number that's your purchase number, I can't see listings by that.
Where did the seller ship from? A seller can NOT require you to return an item to another country if they shipped from the US unless they pay for it even if your return reason is buyers remorse. Which it's not, unless you chose the wrong reason on the request.
Have you already started a official return request? Which of these reasons did you use on the return?

@hal-norma. I see that they did ship directly from China.
Please see the screen shot in previous reply and tell me what reason you chose on the return request.
I hope you didn't choose doesn't fit.

@hal-norma GREAT. That means the SELLER has to pay return shipping or refund you without a return.
IF you used a not as described reason such as wrong item or doesn't match pictures or description then the SELLER must pay return shipping. You have to ask eBay to step in and put the case on hold for 5 days so they seller can send the funds to pay return shipping to your PayPal account. Do NOT pay return shipping out of pocket and expect to be refunded for it even if an agent says that's how it works because they are wrong. eBay has NO way to force a seller to refund more than the original purchase amount.
4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not issued a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
The seller will not be able to provide a return label since they are located in another country. So you will need to ask eBay to step in on the 4th business day.
The seller then has the choice of sending you the money to pay return shipping to your PayPal account OR refunding you without paying for return. Do NOT pay return shipping yourself and expect to be refunded for it after the item is returned.
99% of the time a seller in another country will refund without a return of the item. Returns to CHINA must be shipped via Priority Mail.
If the country is NOT on this list it must ship via Priority Mail>
