On April 3, 2021, I purchased an item (tree puller attachment) at a price of $1,260. I received the wrong item which would not attach to my equipment.  Prior to purchasing the item,  I sent the seller detailed information about my equipment and asked if their tree puller would attach properly to my equipment. They replied telling me that it would work fine. So I bought it. I contacted the seller telling them it was wrong and it doesn't fit my equipment. They said they'd take care of it, but they didn't. I opened a return and asked ebay for help. They told me to work with the seller. I've been in communication with the seller since I purchased the item but all I get is the same old story, "we're looking into it and we'll get back to you". Nothing has been done, I've got a tree puller I can't use, a seller that won't do anything about it, and now ebay closed the return saying to much time has passed since I bought the item. I don't know what to do? Ebay should not have closed the return I opened becasue I'm still communicatiing with the seller like ebay told me to do, but the seller isn't doing anything. Hi so I think I'm dealing with a spammer but am very confused. Showed the obvious signs with asking to email, send payment through PayPal and saw the account was only created today.   Canceled the order but now they contacting me saying they'll double what they were going to but are asking me to put gift cards in with the item I'm selling because it's a gift for someone else. I am trying to revise feedback as requested by the seller.  Clicking on the "Accept Request" link in sellers email, I get the message "Oops, there seems to be a problem loading this page."   I received an email from eBay today telling me they weren't able to send my message to seller because the email address I used "member@ebay.com" isn't linked to my eBay account.   I followed their directions to enable this, however it does not work.  These are the directions I followed: In my eBay, click the Account tab and then click "Communication Preferences" in the drop down menu.  In section titled "Delivery Options" there is NO "Show" link next to "Notification Delivery Format".  It only says "Edit."  When I click on Edit, it  shows two tabs:  1.  Include Graphics and 2. Text Only.  There  is no place to enter the email address of "member@ebay.com as an additional email address for sending messages.  I would really like to revise my feedback now that I understand the situation.  Can you help please? ... Hi, I am not a regular user of this forum but am looking for some input since customer service Ebay cannot answer my question. My question is : What percent of Ebay sellers accept returns?  I am sooooooo tired to people not fitting into /not liking/ whatever and then returning. It is a hassle I do not experience on the other platform I sell on. I do not want to be at a disadvantage and was just wondering if there were some statistics. Also, the reasons they give do nothing to improve my mood. Today's was : I buy Kate Spade sunglasses all the time and never have run across them so wide. Maybe they are men's? All my stuff is in the original boxes. These came from Dillard's. I feel like they are trying to make an argument that it is my fault they have a narrow face, fat foot, whatever, so they can get out of paying for the return shipping.  Comments? I am confused as to how eBay protects buyers, based on the details in the documented Money Back Guarantee. The eBay Money Back Guarantee documentation is at the bottom of this post. In the documentation there is an orange bordered box, which states the following: Stated in the eBay documentation for the eBay Money Back Guarantee "For Authenticity Guarantee purchases, eBay Money Back Guarantee does not cover returns on the basis that an item is not as described when the item is considered final sale. eBay Authenticity Guarantee items are considered 'final sale' when the seller doesn't offer returns or the return is outside the seller's stated return window, and the item is in new condition (watches and handbags only). "   Does this mean that if a Seller has the following stated on their page, that anything you buy from them is considered a "final sale" and the eBay Money Back Guarantee does not protect a Buyer? Seller Canceled the order with reason "Buyer asked to cancel the item(s) in this order.'" I did not cancel order.
