What if a customer gives you negative feedback without even contacting you and you know the customer is lying about the item anyways. I have one customer that said a toy gel gun he received did not shoot, the thing is we test every item we sell before sending them and with this certain item if you do not follow the instructions they might not work right. I tried to tell him how to use the item and I never said i would not take a return, he instead gave me negative feedback, I offered to give him a full refund and let him keep the gun if he would change the feedback and sent him a feedback revise form, but he wouldnt do it. He didnt want to send it back because he knew it worked and probably thought I would point it out and he wanted to keep the item. Is there anyway we can challenge a customer when they give negative feedback even though you have tried to help them?

It seems like a couple other buyers had the same issue.
Just because an item works before you shipped it doesn't necessarily mean that it was working when the buyer received it.
You should have offered a refund without mentioning the feedback. Then several days after they received the refund you could have sent them a feedback revision request.

There is nothing you can do. The buyer was not obligated to contact you in advance of leaving the negative feedback and not obligated to accept your revision request.
>>I offered to give him a full refund and let him keep the gun if he would change the feedback and sent him a feedback revise form<<
That is feedback extortion which can be reported.

If the buyer will not revise the feedback, you did all you could, by responding to the feedback. Now that ebay allows a video to be uploaded in the listing, I suggest you do that in the future, so there is no need to refer a buyer to the video you referenced.

So they can lie about an item and you will get in trouble for offering to refund their money, but you can't ask the to fix the feedback. I said they could return the item and said I would refund the money and they could keep the item, even if they did not change feedback I was willing to refund them.

I put the video in ad, some customers don't follow instructions and then blame it on you.

That was not meant as if I would not give them the refund if they didn't. I even sent that message to ebay. I meant I would like them to revise the feedback and I was will to refund the money and they could keep the item if they requested a refund. I guess I should have written it differnt.

Yea, the thing is none of them are defective, I have had returns and check them and they work fine. I have only had one actual item that was broken when received and that was from shipping damage. I used to be the buyer and I used to do the same thing if something I bought was not what I imagined it would be. These are toy guns not real ones and I started selling on here because I wanted to make sure people could get a good working item so it makes me get upset when someone says they don't work but are not willing to follow the instructions. I don't make a big profit on these things. If someone wants to return an item they can just request to do so. And then it costs me for shipping both ways. It is hard to follow all the rules ebay has also. They banned my ads because of them having ammo included and they said you can not sell gel blaster ammo on ebay, but there are ads for it all over ebay.

the buyer admitted it was him after thinking about it for a while and that was the end of it.
