@rmc157 From a seller stand point buyers like to be able to click on your feedback profile and see that you have happy customers who bought similar items. Other buyers will not be able to see WHO those other buyers were just that what item you sold by clicking on the listing number. You can only click on a listing number for 90 days on a feedback profile.
As for the buyer side... their user ID is disguised on both the auctions and your feedback profile when viewed by other members. Only the seller and buyer can see other members user ID's.
If you really want to use Private Listing option then you have to use the New Listing Tool on a PC.
Look on the upper right of your draft on a PC for a gear to see if you have the option to change listing tools.
OR
Sign up for Seller Hub while working from your computer to create your listing using the new listing tool.
To access Seller Hub:
1. Go to https://www.ebay.com/sh/landing
2. Click Start Using Seller Hub
3. Open your Draft here: https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/drafts
4 To create a new listing go to your active listings page:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active and click the blue Create listing button near the top, right-hand side of the page.
5. For Private listing go to the Pricing section and click on See Pricing Options next to the pricing section. Then turn on the Private Listing option by clicking the toggle so it turns blue.
I have been a seller since 2003
