Hello. Dear customer. I am very sorry for the late reply. You can re-download the app as well. If the camera does not work anymore, you don't have to return it to us, we can send you a new product. We look forward to hearing from you.

I have reached out for the last time to this seller.  and I have thrown the defective camera away.  I have not recieved  any respones and no camera has been sent. this is my first time dealing with this. If this was not an optio this should not have been offered.

Since you no longer have the item, you cannot file a Return Request for a refund.

Re: broke camera

the seller shoud not gave that as option then. sellers should not be given that option if the product has to be returned and no further response was ever given.

Re: broke camera

You could have used the eBay money back guarantee to get a full refund, but since you threw the camera away, you also threw away that opportunity.

Re: broke camera

Hi @ebo-37077

ALL buyers should become familiar with eBay’s Money Back Guarantee … preferably before we need to use it.

It doesn’t makes sense for buyers to rely on sellers to tell us the ‘rules of returns’ … since our interests may not coincide.

It would never occur to me to throw out an item before I had either a full refund or a working replacement in hand.

I personally would NEVER accept a replacement in lieu of a refund.  The replacement may never arrive … or could also be defective if it does … putting me outside the deadline for filing a claim.  A return for a refund is the only safe option IMHO.

I’m really sorry this happened to you … but tossing out the camera was truly a bad move.  That said, we’ve all made mistakes … and hopefully learn from them.  🙂

@ebo-37077

Instead of throwing the camera away, you needed to file the Return Request through Ebay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers.

l can't be certain from this distance of course, but I believe this was a tactic to stall you past the deadline to open a Not As Described claim for refund.  Not reading the seller's feedback was your first mistake; buying from a Chinese seller was your second.  Other responders have cited subsequent mistakes.  If you ever are tempted to buy anything from a Chinese seller again, I respectfully suggest that you read their negative feedbacks first.  If you had done so in this instance, you might have looked for a better seller.

Re: broke camera

@gosimus , my rule is that I never pay more than $10 for something from a Chinese seller.  Then if it’s a disaster it’s not a big loss.

@glorybells

That's a good rule.  My rule is, never buy anything from a Chinese seller that costs more money than you'd be comfortable just setting on fire and watching burn.  😄

Re: broke camera

Hi @ebo-37077   Everybody says they threw things out when they really didn't.  If you're still within the 30 day  window, you need to file an Item Not As Described claim.  If the seller is outside the US, you won't have to return the item, anyway.  If the seller doesn't refund you in full, ask eBay to step in and it will.  Good luck!
