I have an order that I took to the post office as they have a place for preposted items.It never started tracking and I had to refund the buyer. Do I get a refund for the shipping? Which was more than my profits for the item. Thank you.

eBay linked 2 sold items BUT now the customer decided to cancel one item. I can't unlink

A customer purchased and paid for 2 items. He asked to cancel one and get a refund. I tried to refund but can only cancel the total sale as eBay had linked them together. How can I just refund the one the customer does not require?
