White backgrounds turned Gray by ebay.

Why is ebay modifying my images?

When I'm making or editing a listing the uploaded thumbnail backgrounds are pure white.

When the item is in a search listing, the background in the thumbnail is pure white.

When I use the AI to remove the background they are pure white in the listing.

But when I don't use the AI and view my listing my background is gray.

Specifically F2F2F2 instead of FFFFFF

I worked hard to make the product pop from the background and ebay makes it dull. 

Why?

How do I stop ebay from doing this?

I turned off exclusions but I still don't see Germany as a shipping location. I do see Switzerland and Austria.

The item is in "Cameras & Photo > Binoculars & Telescopes" and I mention WWI in the description. I don't know what's causing the exclusion of Germany.
