Weird eBucks bug? Why are all the auctions showing an 1% Bucks offer, but none for Buy-It-Now

My friend received an 8% Bucks offer while I didn't get anything. That's normal. But then today, I noticed that everything on my watchlist has a 1% Bucks offer! There are several weird things about this. See screenshots  for reference.

1. I was never notified of this promotion, so of course, I never activated any promotion.

2. 1% is unheard of these days. The Bucks promotions are usually 5%.

3. This is the strangest one. Bucks promos are usually 3 days in length. Many of things on my watchlist don't end until 6 days and there is no Buy It Now option. Bucks never normally show up unless there is Buy It Now option because there's no way to know how much the final price is. Furthermore, 6 days is way beyond any previous promo.

4. Equally strange: No Buy-It-Now listing shows any Bucks promo.

This is the opposite of what is normal. Normally, the Buy-It-Now listings will show the Bucks earned while  auctions don't because they don't know the final price.

Does anyone else see this on their account? Is this for real? For example, if I win one of those auctions, will I get the Bucks listed even though there is no official promo? What is going on?

Here is a  Buy-It-Now listing, and no Bucks promo shows up. Normally, the opposite is true: Buy-It-Npw have Bucks listed while auctions don't -- especially ones that end in 8 days.

The promotion giving you 1% back for purchases ended March 31, 2021. A new promotion started April 1, 2021 ,which gives a limited time promotion whenever ebay decides to give one.

I noticed the Bucks on listings today too and figured it was a bug or glitch as that 1% program ended back in March.

Now they only do limited 5% promos by invitation only - I didn't have an invitation but was seeing the 1% on listings. Seems to be gone now?

Glad to know I wasn't the only one. I get the 5% promos periodically but my friend just got an unusual 8% promo that ends today, which I didn't get. The weird thing is that he doesn't see the 1% promo that I see.

And no, it's not gone for me yet. I just checked and all auctions still display the 1% Bucks promo. If you saw it before but are no longer seeing it, then the mystery is even weirder!

I know the Bucks program changed in March... so why am I seeing all these 1% Bucks on every auction? See previous post for screenshots. And why isn't it on Buy-It-Now listings? Weird!

I received an 8% Ebay Bucks promo invitation, I jumped on it. Unfortunately, it was AFTER Christmas shopping.

Hah. I didn't get the offer so my friend ordered stuff for me. Some late Christmas gifts and some January bday gifts. Got over $220 in Bucks back. We had to split some purchases into smaller ones because each transaction is capped at $100 back. 8% was just too good to pass up since most Bucks promos are only 5%. I'm jealous that he got the promo but not me. I also got 1% back from Rakuten for each purchase.

I'm still wondering if the 1% Bucks that's showing up in every auction is real....

I am not a big buyer so I haven't received any promos since the ebay Bucks program changed.
