So far in December, virtually all my USPS Priority Mail shipments have arrived late. Many taking over 10 days when the USPS labels show 3-day delivery. Customers are complaining. I tried increasing my handling time hoping that would give me a cushion. But, as soon as I print a shipping label, ebay moves the expected delivery date up based on USPS Priority 2, 3 or 4 day delivery times. My postal clerk has told me that there is 'No way' those 2, 3, and 4 day deliveries will be met. I'm told "you should expect delays during the Holiday rush". USPS specifically states that Ground and Priority expected delivery dates are NOT GUARANTEED. But ebay policy makes them a seller expectation in a dispute.
How are other sellers handling this? I'm thinking about a temporary stop to selling to manage customer delivery expectations against USPS delusional delivery dates.
