I have spent hours searching for an answer. Talked to Ebay on the phone only to run into more questions.
Months ago I tried to set up an account to sell items for a non profit museum. I filled out the form including the FEIN number yet they still asked for a SS number (last four). I finally found a member who is willing to give out that information but I can not find out where the form I was using before is located.
I added a business account and Ebay has made it easy to create that account, and they even make it easy to list something for sale. BUT I am assuming that if you don't give a SS number or sign up as a business account for a non profit you will not get paid for the sold item.
The answer I need is exactly where is the page located to start selling for a Non Profit WHICH INCLUDES all of the information to actually receive the funds after a sale has been made.

The vast majority of rules would be the same for a Charity Seller as they are for us mere mortals. Your fees will be different, but most things will process the same. So just visit the policy pages on the subject you need some clarity on.
If your account is actually set up as a Charity, did you get your 501C paperwork filed with IRS and supplied to Ebay?
You have to have a tax ID number.
Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

Appreciate the help but still not what I need.
A couple months ago I was setting up the Museums Ebay account. I believe I included the IRS ruling and the FEIN number. I got to the end of the form and Ebay wanted the last four of someone's SS number. Having spent 42 years in the security industry I know that if you have the last four and a name. You literally have everything. With this info you can get income, tax info and literally the same info for their parents as well.
I have seen it myself. So I would not give mine out. I finally found a museum member who didn't't care. But now I cannot find that page that I he'd previously got all the way through.
That is my goal to find that page and get the museum to start selling.

The other thing I am questioning is that I was recently able to sign up the museum WITHOUT the IRS info, and allowed to get as far as almost pressing the list button.
I know that won't work as the IRS requires all sellers to get a form for the amount they sold each year. So it only seems obvious that if the item sells then they will require a full SS number even though I have an FEIN number for a non profit 501C3.
Maybe it would but I sure would like to know for sure first.
That is the dilema.
