Trouble emailing a seller

For the last several days, I have been having issues when I attempt to contact any seller from whom I've won an auction. There seems to be a new interface with a pop-up window. When it pops up, I see the following message: "Don't exchange contact info to Buy or sell outside of eBay. We scan and, in case of suspicious activity, manually analyze messages to identify potential fraud and policy violations. Learn more." When I click on blank space below this message, I have no ability to type my message or to send a message using the Send Message button at the bottom of the space. I've tried using 3 different browsers, and all with the same frustrating result. Why am I now  unable to contact any seller that I have recently won an auction from?

You are trying to type your message in the space where any intelligent person would expect to type it. Unfortunately, that's not where you type it. Type your message in the teeny tiny box at the bottom of the form. When you send it, the message you typed will appear in the large white space.

You can use the link at the bottom of the form to send eBay your feedback. Be specific about what you don't like and what you need. The more members who do this, the better.

(I've only seen the pop-up window once - usually a full page opens for me. I'm sure which version you get depends on the path you take, but I believe they are pretty similar.)
