I get situations sometimes that the tracking number on the package doesn't match with the one provided by the seller on y eBay dashboard. This cause lot of problems because the forward carrier are not allowed to open the packages without the presence of a customs agent. The custom agent require 10 USD to open each package on request of a client. It is required by law to present an invoice for each package to pay import tax.
When a package arrives with my name on it and with total different tracking number on it and with no seller information, I will be in trouble because I cannot trace it to present the right invoice. Fail to present the correct invoice is a law violation and will be punished. I always avoid to buy from China. What I have noticed is that some seller promote their business in the US and as of their product is in the US but they buy from China and redirect the cargo to you address. The name of their business will never appear on the package and in some cases the tracking number is not what is given in your eBay dashboard. I think eBay MUST include in their policies that this conduct is illegal. I got a package from Gofo express and didn't bought nothing from Gofo express. No other seller name was visible.
