I recently sent a parcel to a customer at what appears to be a normal UK street address, with a house number, street, and normal postcode, that can be seen on google map. I purchased shipping on ebay Packlink using UPS next day service. when after 3 days it had not arrived I checked with UPS as to why this is, at first they said the address is wrong, but then said the address is for a UK Army housing and they do not deliver to such addresses. I checked with the buyer who said yes its is a Army housing, but they have delivery's from the postman, and other delivery services, even Iceland deliver every day. the seller even confirmed that it was not any type of BFPO box address, just a housing estate owned by the MOD.
UPS have now refused to deliver and have said the Buyer will need to give another address for delivery, ( against Ebay seller protection) I have now agreed with the buyer to have the parcel delivered to a UPS access point, so going forwarded, how do I know what UK street addresses, UPS will refuse to deliver too, I have asked UPS but no reply.
