Shipping question

I've only ever offered paid shipping; but, recently changed many of my items to free first class shipping.  Am I able to add other options (i.e. priority or ground advantage) in case they'd like the item there quicker or whatever their reasoning might be?

I started to add it myself; but, I was afraid it would show all 3 choices as FREE and I only wanted to have the first class option be the free option.  I hope that makes sense.

Thanks,

Amy

You can add more shipping choices that the buyer pays for, but you need to be using the new listing form to do it. Generally if you click edit item, it will take you to the new listing form where you will see “+ add additional services” in the shipping section. Each service has the option to be charged or free.

Before you do this,  double check the items you have listed with first class. I think some of the items you have listed with first class mail do not qualify.  First class mail has very specific rules - the package must be flexible, not rigid, no bumps. A large envelope can not be more than 3/4” thick. A letter can be only 1/4” thick, and must bend around a soda can.

Also keep in mind that there is no tracking with first class mail, so if your buyer says not received, you must issue a full refund.

Re: Shipping question

Thank you so much for your help!  I've been doing this for 3 years and have never offered First Class shipping; so, I was unaware of those details......my fault for not reading up enough.  I've been trying to prep for shipping changes affecting sales; but, I didn't do enough research apparently.  Thanks again!
