why does eBay allow sellers to ship through a carrier that the seller does not ship to? For example: I entered my street address per the sellers instructions, as they do not ship to a PO Box. Then the seller shipped my item through the post office, meaning I am not going to get the item as the post office changed their policies, therefore, making the address provided to the seller void. Sellers should not be allowed to ship via a carrier they do not ship to as the buyer will not receive the item. eBay corporate office needs to read this message. I am going to close my account after 20 years of being a faithful customer and spending tens of thousands of dollars on this platform.

I think it should be the other way around - a seller should not be able to exclude PO Boxes if the shipping service is usps. Or perhaps eBay needs to get from the postal service a list of addresses not eligible for usps delivery.
Do you check the shipping tab before purchase? Most sellers show which service they will be using. If no service is selected, perhaps you could message the seller to alert them to the lack of street delivery and request ups or fedex. I bet there are a lot of seller that do not realize that there are street addresses without usps service.
