Seller will not refund damaged item. Doesn’t have another to replace, bought as Christmas present

Bought as Christmas present so not opened til then. Bought in late October. Seller was communicating but then stopped and removed listing so now I can’t even reach her. Item was $70 or I’d just forget it!

eBay's money back guaranty is only good for 30 days from receipt of the item.  The seller is not obligated to assist with the item after this time has passed.  If you paid through your PayPal account they offer 180 days from payment buyer protection but you have to pay the return shipping charges.  If you paid through your debit/credit card you can ask your bank if they can help you.
