Pre-Owned Authenticity Guarantee Program Best Practices?

What's the deal with the Authenticity Guarantee Program these days? We were very active on eBay when it was first rolled out and never had a single issue with it. Over the last couple years, we've been less active on eBay - primarily using it to offload customer-returned/damaged products from other channels.

Ever since the Authenticity Guarantee Program started accepting used shoes, it seems like there is zero consistency. We've had multiple sales rejected with the reason being "Unable to confirm authenticity" when we have invoices (that of course we have no option to provide) that prove the authenticity... It can't be because we aren't being transparent about how used the shoes are because we clearly document all signs of use/defects in the listing photos.

Sometimes shoes sent in replacement boxes get approved, and sometimes they get rejected. Is there no way to request that they provide more details other than "Unable to confirm authenticity"? What factor led them to that conclusion? You really think all used shoes are going to retain the exact shape/coloration as their new counterparts? I'm at a loss for what to do because at this point it's beginning to feel pointless to waste the time listing shoes we've already taken a loss on on here.
