Postage & freight costs

Although I suppose eBay could come up with new ways to nickel & dime sellers and buyers, probably  postage and freight costs are going to reduce the number of sellers/buyers frequenting eBay.   Inflation means more people will check to compare store & online prices and forego  the convenience of having an item delivered in favor of saving money.    Apart from that there's so much junk and counterfeit stuff on eBay it's an advantage to see what one is getting before one buys plus goods from an established retailer are more likely not knockoffs.

Sure that's a possibility. But more and more buyers are still shopping online from the convenience of their cozy couch, saving money on gasoline. It's all a balancing act...
