I won an auction fair and square. Suddenly I received an email from eBay stating that my was Canceled! No questions asked nothing! The seller lied. eBay message said the order was canceled because “item out of stock or damaged”. The seller sent me a completely different message saying the the girlfriend is very upset bc he did not put a reserve. And that because of this, they are going to revise the listing. I have tried numerous times to work something out with the seller/s and they have completely ignored me ! So, so, much more to be said here but I will try to keep this as short as possible. They want to just brush me off w an initial apology and that’s it. They make eBay look like a lying, deceiving company! I cannot, believe eBay would allow such an incident to occur without at least looking to see what exactly is going on first! I do not know where to go from here. Please someone, help ! Thank You .

The seller already got a "defect" when s/he cancelled the transaction ("Out of stock" etc. is the catchall for cancellation by the seller for his/her own reasons; the other two choices in the short menu blame the buyer). That is the primary tool eBay uses to weed out bad sellers, downgrading the selling status of those who get too many relative to their sales volume (as opposed to having to pay employees to actually investigate to see how likely it was that the seller had a legitimate reason to cancel vs. deliberate policy violations).
You may leave appropriate (calm, factual--if the seller said that x was the reason say "seller said x. . ." so people don't think you are just jumping to conclusions) feedback to warn future buyers/bidders. If the usual links have vanished, go to anyone's Feedback Profile (doesn't matter who, click on the feedback score in parentheses behind the username) then scroll down to below the last comment on that page to find a "Leave feedback" link that doesn't vanish (it brings you to a list of items you can leave feedback for).
Theoretically you could sue the seller for breach of the contract of sale (for the difference between the auction price and what you ended up having to pay for a replacement), but that is almost never practical.

Millions of listings posted every day and probably thousands are canceled every day. eBay can't force a buyer to pay or a seller to ship after after getting paid. The seller earned a defect when they cancel a transaction the buyer didn't ask to cancel.

Unfortunately for you, Ebay cannot force the seller to ship the item.
Rest assured that the seller received a defect on their selling account for cancelling the transaction. Too many defects on their account may result in consequences for the seller.
