Not allowing to request a cancellation

I was given an offer that I thought I only viewed but it turns out I accepted it. I was just looking to see how much shipping and taxes would be altogether but didn’t realize I accepted the offer. There is a message saying the seller does not check their messages often and to go to help as and option to contact guest but the only way to get a hold of the seller is by messaging them. How can I cancel? How can I reach out to the seller? I rarely go on eBay and didn’t realize eBay was this difficult to communicate with. Please help.

Buyers cannot cancel their purchases. The seller is not obligated to agree to a buyer's request to cancel and they are not obligated to respond.

If the seller does not respond or chooses to not cancel your purchase, you must proceed with the transaction.

Re: Not allowing to request a cancellation

I can’t even request to cancel. The help center is directing me to request to cancel, I press the option, then it says i cant request to cancel and can only message the seller but the seller doesn’t answer messages. Why is that?

@ecxu8388

You have only 1 hour from your purchase to file a cancellation request through Ebay.

After that hour you can only use the messaging on your My Ebay to contact the seller. As stated, they are not obligated to respond nor agree to your request to cancel.

Re: Not allowing to request a cancellation

Seller finally responded and canceled. He didn’t seem to have any concern with cancellation. Great to work with understanding sellers that are highly rated.
