I purchased an item from the seller that was located in the United States for $15.11. After receiving the item, it didn't fit. I reached out to the seller and started a return for the item. The seller sent me a Hong Kong address. To return the item to Hong Kong, the mail clerk stated that postage starts at $15 and a custom form had to be filled out. I requested a U.S. address, but the Seller said none was available. It doesn't make sense to spend over $15 to return the item.

The reason "doesn't fit" is not a valid reason for using the Money Back Guarantee. If you want to return the item, it's on your dime.

No, not for a $15.11 item, so don't. Even if you did, once the item reached Hong Kong, the seller probably would renege on his agreement to refund.

Where did the listing say that the item was being shipped from?
If it was shipped from Hong Kong, that's where you ship it back.
If the listing said it was shipped from the US, that's where you return it.

So, if you bought a bra and it did not fit for you size that you ordered you would keep it?

If it said it was shipping from the US, you need to contact CS and tell them the seller is trying to make you ship it back to Hong Kong, when it was shipped from the US.

Hi @dead_dog_records I do not care for your handle, but....
What did the listing say about Returns? Have you opened an official Return request, or just messaged the seller? In most instances, "doesn't fit" is considered a buyer's remorse reason and the buyer has to pay return postage. If, however, the reason it doesn't fit is because the listing was inaccurate, the return would be for Item Not As Described in the listing, and the return postage would be on the seller. The overseas sellers never want to pay return postage and are notorious for sending items not as described. There are some variations on this, but that's the gist of it.
If you can provide the Item No -- a small line of numbers down by shipping on the right hand side -- we can take a look at the listing and see where you actually stand.
Also, not telling the truth about where the item is located is considered grounds for a Not As Described claim, per eBay staff. Good luck!
Example partial item number:

I don't wear a bra. But I know what you mean. No, I wouldn't keep it. What I did with it would depend on where I bought it and the return policy. If returning any item weren't cost-effective, it would end up as a donation.
