Linking an eBay item

Often I have an eBay customer ask where to find an item I have for sale ( ex: a different size).   I put the link to the item in my reply & the eBay link to the item don't work?  Any help on how to do this.

Here are examples for two sizes.  Are you saying when you send such a link, it does not work when the buyer clicks on it?
