All - Good day. I have just opened an ebay account in Japan (where I live), in order to buy items sold in other countries, mainly US. And, I would have those shipped to my US address. Payment would be done via my Japan PayPal account.

Will ebay suspend me for this? I've already had one account suspended, and that is the only reason I can think that they would have suspended me. Maybe I had conflicting information entered, such as a US shipping address and a Japan-based mobile phone. Could that be the problem?

Again, I don't want to have this account yanked, so if anyone can please advise as to how to properly proceed, I'd be most grateful. Thanks.

International buyers have US shipping addresses all the time. You will have to pay a conversion fee to purchase from US buyers in US dollars, but other than that, you should be just fine. I hope you find what you are looking for. Good Luck.

If you live in Japan, why did you open an account and state you are located in the USA?

It is okay to state you are located in another country, but register on ebay.com, the USA site.

Just make sure that when you go to pay in ebay Checkout, that you specify a USA address if that is where you want the item shipped. Sellers need to send to the SHIP TO address attached to the payment. At one time, sellers could refuse payment from a Paypal account registered in a non USA location. I don't know if that is still true.

Thank you for the response. This time around, it worked out fine, and I was able to make the purchase. Maybe the first time around didn't go well because I gave a US shipping address but a Japanese mobile phone number.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Actually, I didn't state that I live in the US. I indicated that I wanted the shipping address to be a US address (because some sellers do not want to ship overseas, and it's a hassle, etc.) Anyhow, it's all good now, and I've gotten the right process down. Thanks again!
