While chatting with an eBay representative today she brought opening an eBay store and said that it would be advantageous. I'm not certain about that given that I'm not exactly a high volume seller BUT would like to learn more.

I went through the basics of how a store works and the items (categories) that I list most frequently, health & beauty and ladies apparel, indicate free insertion only for auctions, NOT fixed listings.
I asked the question a number of different ways and got the same response, that "insertion fees are free for auction listings on those categories" and I kept on impressing that I dislike auctions and always make mine Buy it Now listings and the specific categories are health and beauty and apparel. I'm not sure how many times I would have to repeat that I don't want auctions and I sell only those categories but I decided to come here to ask experienced sellers.
Can somebody please clarify for me because I've read the pages repeatedly and something is just not sinking in. Is there or is there not an insertion fee for Buy It Now listings under the categories that I care to sell if I open an eBay store? It would be the very basic plan because I'm not exactly a power seller
Again, my most frequent listings are for health and beauty and apparel such as women's clothing, purses, and shoes.
