Hello, I am an ebay buyer who bought an preorder item from a seller in 2024. The item was supposed to arrive Q2 2025 and seller had a legit business with 100% approval and even contacted me in the beginning. After a few months, the seller's website no longer appeared and my item was never tracked. Now, the seller no longer appears as a registered user, so I have no way to know about my item or ask for a refund. I tried using ebay Help & Contact to ask for a refund, but it doesn't let me pick my item because it "hasn't arrived yet". I'm very frustrated as I don't know who to contact for help. Can anyone help me with this?

There is nothing that Ebay can do for you since the time frame for utilizing the Money Back Guarantee has long passed.
Dispute the charge with the funding source you used to pay for the item.

Thank you for your response @lady_madonna. However, I used a gift card to pay for it. Im guessing that means nothing can be done now right? I dont have the original gift card I used.
