Getting turned down for a removal of a performance defect

Some body just let me know if I am wrong. One of my listing sold, 3 weeks later it sold again my listing never got pulled from my store after the first sale. I contacted the buyer from the second sale and refunded them, and let them know the listing never got pulled. E-bay gives me a defect on my performance for not having my product in stock. I asked them to remove it they said no. Am I in the wrong here if so what did I do?

Re: Getting turned down for a removal of a performance defect

We pretty regularly see reports of sold items being relisted but I am not sure what causes this to happen. It may be something to do with listings showing "out of stock" still being available for buyers to purchase. I can't speak from personal experience as this has never happened (/knock wood) to me.

Unfortunately, the position eBay has on this is that sellers are responsible for ensuring that their listings are accurate. I keep a note of how many active listings I have and subtract sales and add new listings as I go along. That way I always know how many active listings I should have and can compare that to what shows on my selling page.

They could help you, along with the other thousands of sellers that has had that happen, but they won't.

Have a great day.
