Do Coach purses need to be authenticated

I  have 9 Coach purses that I'm planning to list.    Must they be authenticated before listing?   And how do I go about that?

eBay does not provide authentication prior to listing or selling.  

This is something that you must do before you list if you have any question of authenticity.

There is always the possibility that your items could be removed for authenticity reasons, we don't have details about when/how/why they remove listings but it is a possibility.

You should provide many photos, clear descriptions and as many details you can about the purses when you list.

So I do have to have it authenticated before I list it?   I'm very confused with this.   I've listed other Coach items, like some wristlets and non purse items and I didn't have them authenticated.    Do I need to send them somewhere and get a COA?     I don't know what the eBay Authenticity Guarantee is.    I've been selling for 17 years here, but not this type of item.    I hate sounding like a rookie.   Appreciate any help.

No, you are not required to have it authenticated before you list the item.  

But with that said, you should be certain that it is authentic before you list it.    

I realize that it sounds confusing but if you are sure that your items are authentic, you can list and sell them.

Thank you so much for your very helpful reply.      The purses I have came from a yard sale at a million dollar home, where the owners had the hired help do the sale.   I'm 99% certain, from different websites, that these are real.    I will use the source you mentioned.   TY, again!
