Customer Service in Columbia

I recently had a question and attempted to contact eBay Customer Service.  I was connected with someone in Columbia.  Columbia?  Columbia is a narco-state run by the drug cartels.  This is my only option now if I have an eBay question??  Are you kidding me?

How did you attempt to contact eBay - did you go through the Help & Contact links here on this site, or did you find a phone # elsewhere?

Lots of scam phone #s out there.

If you found the Columbian number by doing an internet search, it is fraudulent.

The only way to contact Ebay is by using the Ebay website and click on "Help & Contact" at the top of any Ebay page.

Ebay provided the number in Columbia because that is where the customer service reps are now! Have you tried calling the old eBay help number?

Because I wanted an official eBay answer.  This forum is not always helpful and I would not want to discuss a specific transaction here.  No offense, but sometimes the answers are just wrong.  Ebay has been ruined.  But I guess Nike is stuck with Donahoe now.  He trashed eBay, made his tens of millions, and then jumped ship.  Best of luck to the drowning members...

eBay does not currently have an active contact phone number that someone can simply call. That option has been gone for as long as eBay staff has been locked down in their homes. The only current phone option is to have eBay Call you.  If you were able to make a phone call to "eBay" somewhere, whether misdialed or direct dialed, the destination was probably fraudulent.  And a narco-Colombia (do cross-check that spelling with your phone records) destination would scream of fraud.

Instead, if you want to speak with real eBay reps, start with the help pages.

1. Type in a few search words that might represent your problem.
2. When you find a topic somewhat related to yours, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
3. There will either be a callback option or a contact option.
4. Use callback if you see it.
5. If you dont see it, use the "contact" option to open robohelp.
6. On robohelp, scroll down until you find "contact an agent".
7. You may need to keep opening the "more" options to get there.
8. When "contact an agent" opens, you will see the callback option.
