I'm fairly new to Ebay and I have searched for an answer but can't find it. I have a buyer who wants to combine about 6 items into one order and ship as one order. She also wants a discount on the items for purchasing so many. How do you combine orders prior to payment? I have my setting on that requires immediate payment if that makes a difference. Also, how do I give her a discount on the total order? I don't see how to do either of this on my end. Thank you!

@heartofthevalley You can only discount the shipping on a combined invoice. If the discount amount is greater than the shipping discount then you have to cancel the current listings and relist with desired price.
Here's how to combine shipping as long as it's not a eBay International Shipping Program order. You can't combine shipping on EIS orders without a bit more work.
You can not combine ANY authenticity guaranteed items. They must all ship separately.
#1 If the buyer has not paid yet here's how to send a combined shipping invoice:
Go to your sold listings on a PC and select send invoice from next to one item. The next page will then have all of the items from your buyer. Weigh and measure the new package and then adjust the shipping price. You can look up the shipping price here: https://www.ebay.com/shp/Calculator
Send invoice: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/sending-invoices-buyers?id=4139&st=
#2 If the buyer has already paid then you can send a partial refund for the shipping overcharge:
Go to the sold item and select Send Refund from the drop down menu next to the item.
Next screen select the reason for the refund> enter the amount> submit
#3 Also, when you print the shipping label it's VERY important to select all items and then select print label from the top of the list if the buyer did not pay from an invoice. Then on the next screen it will ask if you want to combine orders, say yes then adjust the package size and weight as needed. This way the tracking is applied to all items.
# 4 I suggest you allow combined shipping in your account settings so that in the future buyers can request an invoice from their cart:

Thank you SO much! This is the info I was searching (and searching) for. I appreciate you taking the time to answer. Just one more question...do I need to turn off my setting requiring immediate payment from the buyer? I have that feature on all of my listings. I did just go in and change my account settings to allow combined shipping.

If you require immediate payment then buyers will NOT be able to request combined shipping prior to paying. However you can still give a combined shipping discount after they pay as mentioned in #2 above.
You have to decide do you typically have a lot of requests for combined shipping OR do you have a lot of trouble with slow paying buyers and don't want to wait until the 5th day to cancel for non payment.
You also can not send a combined shipping invoice on Best Offers.
I personally just handle do not require buyers to provide a payment method prior to making a bid or offer. That setting does turn off some buyers that are not problem buyers IMHO. It is a good setting though IF you are selling items that do attract bad buyers that don't pay. I don't think that your categories would typically attract a lot of non paying buyers.

Once again thank you! I typically don't have too many combined orders, but I did change my settings to allow it. I think I messed up though when I went to change my buy now feature. I went to Bulk listings and selected payment options to remove Buy it now. When I check my individual listings, the Buy It Now category is still there but I can't click on the drop down. I used to be able to do that. It appears that all my listings are still buy it now. I can't seem to "undo" whatever it is that I did in the bulk section. Ugh. I'm still searching forums to figure out how to remove the Buy It now. I was thinking I could just do it manually but it won't let me with whatever I have done in the bulk section...another ugh.

@heartofthevalley Buy It Now is a listing format that you can't change without ending and relistingh as an Auction.
You can remove Best Offer option using Bulk Edit.
I think that you might be looking for the option to turn off the requirement to provide a payment method before making a bid or offer.
You can turn that off in account settings>selling> buyer requirements
Uncheck the boxes>

Let me know if you still have questions.
