Is there a way to change the reason for return. Seller sent the wrong item and requested I put “changed my mind” under reason. I ignorantly obliged not realizing I would be responsible for return shipping. I have not accepted the shipping label yet, but seller is currently non responsive. Thanks for any guidance provided

Unfortunately, there is no way to change the reason for the return. If you close the return, you will not be able to open a new one.
I would let this Seller know you are very unhappy with their Customer Service and expect a full refund, including all shipping costs once you return the item.

The essobee is trying to hoodwink you. If the listing states "No Returns", and you choose "Changed Mind" the seller can refuse the return and you get nothing. If that happens, you still have recourse through your funding source. As frustrating as it is to get through to a credit card customer service, that's an option.
If you do elect to go for the chargeback, when you finally get a customer service rep on the phone, after you say you want to do a chargeback the rep will say s/he's transferring you to the proper department. Before the rep does that, ask her/him for the direct number to that desk, so if the call gets dropped you won't have to go through that infuriating decision tree again.
