Can I use an eBay standard envelope to ship an item sold in the Entertainment Memorabilia category?

Does eBay allow or prohibit the use of the eBay standard envelope to ship an item (e.g. a backstage pass) sold in the Entertainment Memorabilia category?

The link to "categories path" downloads this file: ebay-standard-envelope-eligible-list.

In that list it says the following is eligible:

Category: Patches, Decals, Stickers

Category Path: Entertainment Memorabilia:Other Entertainment Mem

...which doesn't make any sense to me. "Patches, Decals, Stickers" is NOT a main category and "Entertainment Memorabilia:Other Entertainment Mem" is not in the hierachy path of the "Patches, Decals, Stickers."

eBay DOES let me select eBay standard envelope as the shipping method when listing in the "Entertainment Memorabilia:Other Entertainment Mem" but when I sold a backstage pass they greyed out the eBay standard envelope.

I would only make sense to allow backstage passes to be eligible to use eBay standard envelopes. I believe this is just another example of eBay incompetency. They don't have a clue as to all the mistakes on their website.

Now that I've found where they've stated that backstage passes are eligible, took screenshots and downloaded their eligible categories file I just moved my backstage passes back from "Postcards" to "Entertainment Memorabilia:Other Entertainment Mem."

@docstevens.  You might see the shipping option when you create the listing but you aren't gonna have it when you try to print the label and the memorabilia category.

The items I listed are what are allowed to be shipped using this shipping method.

Ebay's own file "ebay-standard-envelope-eligible-list" indicates that the "Other Music Memorabilia" subcategory IS eligible.

According to the most recent information available, the "Other Music Memorabilia" category has been listed as eligible for eBay standard envelopes. Specifically, the document titled "ebay-standard-envelope-eligible-list" includes:

Patches, Decals, Stickers > Entertainment Memorabilia:Music Memorabilia:Other Music Memorabilia

Therefore, items listed under the "Other Music Memorabilia" subcategory within Music Memorabilia do qualify for eBay standard envelope shipping. This eligibility was confirmed as of the latest updates to the eBay standard envelope service in November 2023.
