Buyers keep cancelling items

It is frustrating I have a listing that "different" buyers have cancelled three times in a row , they bid and after paying they cancel it, is this a sort of scam or just some guys trolling?, is there a way to report these users and apart from that not accept the cancellation and still have my money without problems , the item is Minecraft story mode for PS4.

Buyers cannot cancel their purchases, they can only request that the seller cancel the transaction. You, as the seller, have the right to decline the cancellation request.

Re: Buyers keep cancelling items

As more and more auctions (you can opt your auctions in or out on your Buyer Requirements page) and buyers are subject to the requirement of pre-authorization of automatic payment to make the bid, the decrease in non-payments is offset by  an increase in cancellation requests.

Also a few months ago eBay removed the 1 hour deadline for the formal cancellation request where the seller has 3 days to accept or reject, so you are seeing more of those (as opposed to messages from buyers making a personal, informal, request).  Now they have until you "ship" (e.g. create a label) to make the formal request.

When you get one of those where the buyer has not paid you need to accept it so you can relist ASAP.   If you reject it it ends up with your listing in limbo with the buyer having the option of paying or not for 30 days and you unable to cancel for non-payment (or any other reason).  If you ignore it and the 3 days expires the cancellation goes through anyway, so you might as well accept it.

If the buyer has paid you can reject it (or ignore it--after 3 days nothing happens but be aware your handling time keeps running) and keep the money and ship the item (shipping counts as a rejection--you might want to create a label as soon as possible before they have a chance to make the formal request).  But don't be surprised if the buyer "finds" that the item is damaged when s/he receives it.
