Hi,
I am new to selling video games on ebay. My listing says that I will ship the card with the download code to the buyer. However, I received an inquiry asking me to text it instead. Is that a scam?
Thanks,
foneboy

Hi @foneboy
In general terms you NEVER need to text or call or email anyone any information for them to purchase from you. Those requests typically are from scammers. If the item is fully paid simply ship it out to the Buyer.
If it is not paid for then wait 4 days and use the Cancel function, the Buyer's account will get an Unpaid item strike. You can then Relist the item and add that Buyer to your Blocked Buyer's list, link to that page below:

You need to ship it with tracking so you can prove delivery.

That's what I was thinking, too. Thanks for your reply!

Yeah, it’s most likely a scam. Send the card with tracking.

Hi Patricia,
I feel better now that I turned down the buyer's request.
Thank you!

Hi Mr. L,
Thank you for confirming my decision to turn down the buyer's request! My gut told me that it just did not seem right.
