Dear all,
my account got restricted, I successfully changed my password and can now access my account, but I still cannot place bids. When I try, it always says that my account is restricted and I need to contact support (and I get the same notification when I click on Account Settings - Personal information). When I do (at 866-961-9253), there is no way to reach any human Representative and the automatic system is not even able to recognize my phone number (I don't have a US phone number and am calling through Skype). Then it offers to send me a link to information online (I assume it's the very same Account Restricted page in Help Center which I used to make the call in the first place). It's very frustrating as I tried calling many times but still don't see any way how to connect to the Representative or fix the issue myself. I didn't even find any e-mail address where I could send this request. I have been using eBay for about 15 years now and am frustrated that it now seems I will lose the account completely without any hope to recover it. Any help on solving this or ways to connect to someone from eBay

Go to "chat with us" on https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4797&st=10
But wait 3 hours. Ebay US is sleeping now.

So the problem is that I cannot chat - when I open chat with us, it immediately notifies me that there is a problem with my account and that I need to call, which then obviously doesn't work
Is there any direct mail or any direct phone I can call which would actually connect me to someone who can help me solve the issue?

I found this info from an eBay staff member:
Call 1-866-303-3229 and then follow the steps I’m providing below. They could vary a little but should generally follow that flow and if “Account Security” doesn’t work for step three, you can try “Account takeover” or “Hacked account”:
Hopefully that will help you to get through to speak with someone from the account security team so you can get this cleared up and back to using your account like normal.

If that doesn't work either, I suggest to contact eBay's Customer Service via social media. They are very good.
