Hello everyone,
I have an old piece here that I need help with.
No one seems to know what this thing is.
I think it's bronze, it's Chinese, it's about 4 inches across and is made to sit on a flat table.
When it is sitting on a flat surface it's slightly indented as if to hold something in the shallow depression that's formed into it. There seems to be an 'older' woman handing a 'child' a ring of some kind.
The symbols on the back seem to be toys, and the way they are formed into the piece creat 'feet' for it to sit level on a flat surface. The toys are a drum and a top with string, and then a floral shaped symbol as well. Maybe it's just an ashtry but it would be an incredibly shallow one at that.
Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
