Polite feedback.
In case you were unaware, here's a situation and recommended remedy.
As an Android user, the Play Store showed that I had the app installed. I checked my app itself to see the current version and it was "not" the latest version shown in the Play Store. Even though I didn't have the latest version, the Play Store didn't prompt me to update. Nor, was I sent a message in the app that a newer version was just released.
Over the many version updates, over the years, I've never received a message from ebay in my current app, to inform me that a new version is available. This is an easy fix, and should be routine - to inform current users.
Not having the latest app has proven (from my personal experience) to create problems in the past, with both creating listings (errors received), and also problems interacting with both potential and existing customers.
Bottom line: Recommend that your team send out an alert message within the app messaging, and maybe even an email - informing users that a new app version was released.
The only way I knew (as usual), was via YouTube ebay sellers mentioning it.
