Well, it's watercolor pencils ... I could *never* do that with pans. Tubes, I could, but the pencils REALLY help!
I also used white india ink as a wash to smooth out her skin tones and do some highlights, and a touch of tubed watercolors for various hues that the pencils didn't have.
I still have to do the darker bits, and refine parts of it ... and add in a few other highlights and details, and some of that will be done with inks and colored pencils.
She'll be a grab bag of mediums by the time she is done lol.
The irony is she likely won't even sell ... that's the kicker. LOL! None of my really nice paintings ever sell.
And I mean nice in that the coloring is technically and artistically somewhat decent. The stuff I actually take the most time on and put the most effort in *never* sells. So I try to make sure it's at least something *I* will like to have around, as it's gonna be hanging around me for a while. hehehe!
