WARNING -- Listings showing FREE shipping

I just listed some ACEO's. I charge $2.50 shipping and handling. Most of my listings are showing up with FREE shipping. The shipping charges are CORRECT in "my ebay" but WRONG when I do a search. I have contacted ebay -- it looks like OTHERS are having the same problem. If you have listed today, you might want to check!!! jana --

SHEESH! Thanks SO much for alerting us to that. There is just TOO much going on with ebay at the moment. Searches were screwed up, I had to resort to using the new 'playground' and even then, it wasn't what I wanted. I posted the glitch earlier on the Artists Gallery thread and was going to post it here after I had my listing from today showing Free Shipping. I talked to live help and it is showing the right amount now....but, now the Tiger I listed four days ago shows Free Shipping. So, it isn't just things listed today.

Yup, mine is incorrectly showing when searched. Livehelp indeed, not an option for us folks waaaay out in the country that can't get broadband,dsl,highspeed anything. Sent an email, not much hope they'll fix it. Ebay stands for enabled bastards at yourservice.

This avatar is going as soon as I can get around to it.... at the expense of losing my 'my world' image. Thanks for that info on the 'free shipping'. When I first checked all listings or nearly all were showing up as 'free' on 'newly listed' search. I checked the listings themselves, and there were shipping charges. I send group emails and checked again, and there were more showing with shipping rather than 'FREE' - but then I checked the ones that did have FREE, and they were WRONG - there was no free listing, except for one that had free shipping in the title. :( BAD! :( -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider There is nothing like a dream to create the future...

Nope for me, when I click eBay's livehelp popup and send it, it gives me a page of error info gobbledygook.

But they did respond to my email and it warmed the cockles of my heart: Occasionally these unfortunate situations do arise. We work our hardest to reduce the frequency of these events, however sometimes the situation is beyond our control.

Its not just stuff you listed today, but all manner of items. Its an Odd glitch, I gotta say - if you view the lists from different places it comes up different - not all of them say free, when I use the "view sellers items" links on the blogs it looks different than when I look at the same list from the community boards "view listings" link... its a strange glitch -- when you go inside to look at the listings they all have the regular shipping prices. I think the real problem would be people getting upset thinking its some kinda 'bait and switch' or something -- oh yeah, get me to look thinking you're giving away free shipping...

Inside my listing is ok -- it is just the search that is crazy. Ebay has already responded: "Thank you for writing eBay in regard to free shipping showing on your listing. Firstly, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused to you due to this problem. However, I would like to inform you that this is an intermittent issue and we are aware that some of the members are facing such problem. Our engineers are working hard to get this resolved as soon as possible, hence please be assured that this will be resolved soon. Kindly understand that occasionally these unfortunate situations do arise. Though we work our hardest to reduce the frequency of these events, sometimes the situation is beyond our control.
