That's how I feel - I had no sales 2 weeks ago for the whole week - and I have been on ebay since 2001! Now I have 8 original paintings and nothing - I had 1 sale last week and that was it - I guess my art work is s#### - I am having an artist break down here - I know because of all my personal family obligations that I haven't been able to paint as well but geeze --- what the heck is going on ?? I need input from you all - let me know what is wrong - I am finally going to be able to paint this week without the interruptions that I have had (and let me tell you you guys wouldn't want to have to have been involved in this whole chaos that I have been I can tell you that right now!). Anyway I just don't like the way things have been going on ebay lately but I can't and don't have the time to go into other areas at this time. Thanks for input. JudyB

Oh JudyB here's some *hugs* January is the worst month as far as I'm concerned, or seen so far on ebay. It's not you! Hang in there! I lost my job two Tuesdays ago, and it felt like the end of the world. Tomorrow I start a new job. A new day will bring new light. You have friends. We are all there. Please don't get discouraged. Most of us are in this for the long haul (9+ years for me). Ebay is having big problems now and they are going about it pig-headedly and in the wrong way. We have to wait it out until they discover they are heading down the wrong path. Its not your work that's at fault 😉

🙂 Thanks ms*p, appreciate it. At least have been selling some stuff on ebay to compensate a little, but still doesn't make up for trauma, wage loss, or put me ahead, so ebay is a blessing at times like these. You're right. This is just a really bad time of year on ebay, and not just for art. I sell other trinkets on my main ID, and it's been slow there too. This is a weird transitional time of year where people are financially tapped out from Christmas, and now need to wait for tax refunds in order to get some money back in their pockets. I checked the "Ending Soonest" page of ACEOs yesterday, and on the entire page, only a few had bids. Everyone is being affected by this. Please, no one beat yourself up over this or start thinking that your art is bad. It's just a seasonal downturn. It'll get better soon. :) -- Kathy

Judy, hang in there. This is a slow time on eBay, plus with the economy being as bad as it is right now hardly anyone is selling anything. Most of us are in for the long haul and I can tell you that with the exception of a couple of weeks in December, last fall was one of the worst ever on eBay. Thanks for the positive comments - sometimes a person can feel that it's their art - that's what I was beginning to do. At least when I checked today I have some watchers so that's encouraging. Good luck on your new job Jillian.

Good afternoon ... I'd take the rest of week off from ebay through Saturday late afternoon. All the machinations of eBay ... listings, views, watchers, even one sale now and you have to break out of your painting routine to ship ... you don't need all these ebay distractions. Then ... if you have available a painting that has received a excellent of views/watchers, list it on Saturday evening as a one day auction/BIN. (auction start at 60% of buy it now price) Your work will like a breath of fresh air in searches most of which have been running almost 7 days and the buyers WILL notice. You will get close to the same numbr of viewers in one day as you did in a week. If need you could relist for 7 days on Sunday; or 3 days on Wednesday. Normally, I would say add a few items to inventory but, given your circumstances I'd put all my marbles on the one excellent painting, so you won't become overwhelmed by ebay.
