I DARE YOU...

Well, we knew it was coming. Artists with any sense of integrity, read no further. Here's the deal: you think of an idea for an aceo, the more absurd the better, and dare another artist to create that image. The artist lists that image, the dare-er is obligated to place the first bid. Issues to be resolved: Starting bid. It's been established that I'll pay to make an aceo for someone, while others start the bidding more becoming an artist with a modicrum of self-esteem. We could either establish a set beginning price, or have the price be negotiated beforehand. Before we make it official, any other ideas from the peanut gallery? harmoniousjosh http://harmoniousjosh.blogspot.com/

Ebay rules: You can use another eBay user's ID in your auction ONLY if you use it in a way to help describe the item. Also: You can't link another user's auctions to your listing (just fyi):)

Okay... so you CAN put another user's ID in, for example, like this: This art card is the result of my accepting a dare (Dare #4)issued by User123 in the I Dare You challenge at the ATC & ACEO Enthusiasts eBay group. I'm confused about the dare numbering system. Why number by sets of dares? I think straight number (Dare #1, #2,#3, etc.) would work. Or if keeping the sets straight is important, then (Set:Dare Number) 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or something? Just tossing that out. Jillian, thanks for the go ahead on this! I think it's different and will be a lot of fun. I shall resume pondering dares... Jeanne

I was wanting to number the sets of dares so that we knew which set it belonged to, rather than get mixed up in case there were several sets running concurrently.

Why not just post a dare and anyone who wants to take the challenge does a card and puts it up for sale with the post# and dare info in their description...they can also post their auction/dare responce in this thread...that way noone has to manage anything and who cares if 10 people take up the darer on his/her dare, if they(darers) aren't required to bid on them..We'll just leave it said that all participants should bid on atleast one of the dare auctions..no plans for which one..don't think that qualifies for shilling..and still gives everyone more sales...if you dont get a bid you'll know people arent interested in...blah blah dare subject...hehe and maybe we can have people that dont get bids post here with a note and trade with others that didnt get a bid...

You sure did! I enjoyed those dares too, I had fun just watching everyone's enthusiasm! There were tons of questions at first, things to work out, but it all turned out to be a real fun time. Haven't seen HJ for quite a while too. I don't see him at his Inky Disasters website or his blog...wonder if he's still doin' art. I know he finally joined up at Zazz... Well, have a good rest of Sunday nite, I'm outta here! Cherie -- My Listings!
