How's This for Monumental Nerve?

Ebay is pleading its case in Washington to try to kill manufacturer's price fixing. I have no opinion on that...BUT I do have an opinion on Ebay using small sellers to plead its case! Check out this youtube...frankly, it turned my stomach! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4go7g-vrzRg&eurl=http://www.myblogutopia.com/ Don't bother to leave a comment on the video - it will be deleted and you'll be blocked. That's why almost 500 people viewed the video but there are no comments.

Re: How's This for Monumental Nerve?

hehehehehehehehehe -- that is the FUNNIEST thing that I have seen in a LONG, LONG time. This IS a comedy sketch, right -- from SNL or MAD TV??? This couldn't POSSIBLY be real. There is NO way that ebay could think that ANYONE would believe that all of its problems can be blamed on big box stores. IF this isn't comedy, then ebay SERIOUSLY needs to change PR firms IMMEDIATELY -- because people (i.e. stockholders) cannot be THAT stupid!!! -- ~jana

Re: How's This for Monumental Nerve?

jana - the funny part is that they are using us small sellers - the same people they've been kicking in the gut since January - as the little people they are trying to protect from those big bad stores! They seem to have NO shame and NO conscience and NO recollection of the big diamond sellers they're ushering onto this site! We don't notice it too much in the arts categories but these big sellers are swamping other categories and pushing out ordinary sellers. That makes this youtube one big fat sick joke.

Re: How's This for Monumental Nerve?

There was a thread on Seller Central but I think it either got moved to the Soapbox or nuked! Lots of threads have been disappearing on the boards lately.

Uh huh. There are no longer any pinks left to answer member questions, though "unacceptable" posts and threads continue to be removed, more now than ever before. -- Kathy

Re: How's This for Monumental Nerve?

I think what they've done is hand off some of the duties to other employees, which is often the case when there are layoffs. The remaining people end up with more work. There's probably no one who is trained properly, or who has the time to interact with members and answer their questions, but they're making sure that someone polices the boards and takes care of any eBay bashing that might be going on. You know, priorities. ;) -- Kathy

I also saw some farewells to the guy in charge of "Chatter" - the newsletter. So that went with the others, too. Only bare bones left, and I'm sure there is a limit to what they can handle. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google me!
