Help Finding Artist

Hi all, This photo was sent to me by someone searching for the artist/creator of this Santa. She got it at a charity auction in Oregon several years ago and would like to find the person who created it. Does anyone recognize this style or who perhaps could have created this Santa? There are no signatures or markings on it. Photobucket Thanks, Sheryl -- Lifes a dance.... you learn as you go, may your feet always be fleet and your heart always be light.

Re Help Finding Artist

Sheryl, sorry I don't have the answer for you. One suggestion is for her to post a wanted ad in Craig's list, assuming they have one in her area or wherever in Oregon the auction was held. If not the artist, someone else might recognize the work and reply. Just a thought. -- ~ Charlie

Online classified ads. I'm a bit of a philistine when it comes to that kind of stuff but I think your friend is looking for a needle in a haystack. It has the characteristics of folk art Santas done by any of a thousand folk art Santa makers.

I agree, I don't know her but she seems to have a sentimental attachment for that Santa so I'm trying to be helpful. She found my youtube video and thought perhaps I was the artist. thanks for the idea. Sheryl -- Lifes a dance.... you learn as you go, may your feet always be fleet and your heart always be light.

www dot craigslist dot com WONDERFUL... Freebie classified listings on the net. I've had more job interviews through there than anywhere. People also use it instead of ebay for certain things. Beware of fraudsters though. Just like your local noticeboard - for rent, garage sales, personals, jobs, events, etc. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google works for ME!

If your friend can remember the charity that she bought it from, she should contact them. They should have records of all of the items that were donated for the auction. -- Kathy
