Has anyone heard of this!!!

Was perusing the ACEO category to see what if anything was selling well or even not well...just selling, period. I came across this listing and wondered if anyone else had seen it. Admittedly, I haven't looked at much lately as I've had a number of private commissions to finish, now I'm obviously going to start re-listing on good old eBay. I'm all for good health in any form possible, however, this kind of info, to many potential buyers, is not good, unless it's a concrete validated fact. I would be interested in reading what you all think. I e-mailed the artist expressing desire to read the study and requested he send me a link or info pertaining to such, but have yet to receive a reply. Beetroot for a cool reddish purple, strong tea will give a warm yellow, though does contain tannin :) -- http://www.artyman.co.uk -- Edited by kengillam at 05/04/2009 12:59 AM PDT

How about rhubarb for a deep red/purple? Just be sure not to add the leaves, they're poisonous. *lol* Ken -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google me!

Speaking on behalf of all of us who don't chew on the paintings we purchase, let me say that I don't really give a poop. Sure . . . easy to say that NOW. Just wait until you get that new puppy. Not only will she chew on your paintings, but will also give a poop (several times daily). -- Kathy

I wonder if all those pretty little dandelions growing in the yard will make a nice bright yellow? Nah.

Things on my to-do list: - replace front hall closet doors - hang artwork out of reach of puppies - remind husband that the night-shift is HIS territory (I get the fun day-shift)

Sunshine, I think your biggest red zone will be your Manolos. Think about puppy-proofing your closet and never, ever leave shoes you love on the floor while he is a puppy. My puppy is now 9 months old and has learned his manners but it took 3 months after I got him.
How are things on the farm? Well no one is bleeding and everyone's fed.

Received a reply from the concerned artist wishing to protect his buyer's health. I stand by my opinion of him. Now, I'm resuming my oil painting as I drink my natural spring water, bottled in plastic. Jill -- Edited by artistjillian at 05/04/2009 9:15 AM PDT

Not supposed to. but ... I'm curious, too. *lol* The link to mail required a sign in - we aren't Jill, so couldn't access it. It wasn't removed because it wasn't allowed - it didn't work. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google me!

I think your biggest red zone will be your Manolos. I don't have Manolos. Would the same apply to LaCroix, Louboutin and Prada? Or domestics such as Weitzman? Those I do have. -- Edited by sunshinesketches at 05/04/2009 1:53 PM PDT

Re: Has anyone heard of this!!!

I'm not sure what to make of those emails. The first one he sent, okay, maybe he's concerned about health, the environment, whatever. But the second one . . . it reads like an infomercial. He directs you to buy that book from the doctor's web site (which I think is a violation, if eBay's messaging system was used). At that point, I have to start thinking that something is fishy. I honestly don't know what this guy is up to. Maybe he's a scammer, maybe he's an advocate for better health. Who knows? Either way, placing an opinion about cancer being a "profitable industry" in your art listing . . . well, I'll just say that I wouldn't buy from him. -- Kathy
