Faboo . . . thanks Sue. All the way through January this time? Seriously, WTF? Why don't they just make this permanent? I now hold off on listings, knowing that there's another free promotion right around the corner. It's becoming ridiculous. Just permanently change the price already. -- Kathy

I totally agree, Kathy! I have been throwing on a few auctions here & there while waiting for a special! When I read this last night I was thinking - Is Ebay in deep trouble? Are they trying to get the number of listings up so they can tell the stockholders - Look, our listings are ______. We are doing great! Makes me wonder how this will affect the store listings! Sue

You're probably right. Making the special good through January will definitely result in more listings around the Christmas holidays, which will give them something to toot their horn about to shareholders. I have a feeling that a LOT of people have closed their stores after that monstrous price increase, and they're now scrambling to get all those listings back. -- Kathy

Here's the link to the announcement, for those who didn't get it (seems a lot of people didn't receive it): http://pages.ebay.com/promo/ListFreeHoliday2010/ Sue, maybe you could tack this thread since it's pretty important. There's one up there for an outdated promo that could be untacked. Sorry to have to ask you, but I'm no longer a mod, and can't do it myself. -- Kathy

It's 100 listings a month that are free, so someone told me. That is good because I was working on choosing my 100 very carefully. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google me!

You are correct Jillian. I re-read the promo & it is free for 100 listings (excluding the 99 cent listings) and excludes anyone with a store subscription. Sue

I have yet to receive the notification on this ID. I got the notification on this ID late last night, but got it on my other account (a non-seller account) the night before. ?:| -- Kathy

It's 100 listings a month that are free, so someone told me. It's in the official announcement . . . How is this special promotion different from eBay standard fees for Auction-style listings? Instead of receiving free Insertion Fees for your first 100 Auction-style listings which have a start price of 99¢ or less with no reserve price plus 100 Auction-style listings regardless of start price (for a total of 200 free Insertion Fees), qualified sellers will pay no Insertion Fees for the first 100 Auction-style listings which have no reserve price, regardless of start price. There is a limit of 100 listings eligible per calendar month, for this promotional rate during the Promotion Period. http://pages.ebay.com/promo/ListFreeHoliday2010/ -- Kathy

I didn't read the promo. I got the information from another source. But am certainly glad it's 100 a month. I was trying to work out what to list or not, otherwise. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google me!

I'm wondering about the seven days in January. We can list 100 items in October, November, December. The promotion ends January 7th. How many items can be listed in January? For that matter, what about September. Can I list 100 items today, then the clock resets October 1st? It says 100 items per calendar month, not every 30 days. -- Kathy -- Edited by poozybear at 09/29/2010 8:17 AM PDT

I posted this already but it never showed up: According to Flora @ Live Chat - we can list 100 items between Sept 28 - Sept 30. Oct, Nov, Dec - 100 per month. Jan 1 - Jan 7 - 100 listings. Call me a little gun-shy but I sure hope she gave me the correct info! Sue
