CHALLENGE: Week 101 Dec 2-8 “PUDDING”

CHALLENGE: Week 101 Dec 2-8 “PUDDING” Depict 'PUDDING' in an ACEO. (It's YOUR interpretation of what 'PUDDING' are/is) Put "ACEO" and 'PUDDING' in your title. The rest of the title is up to you. List anytime during the week Dec 2-8 (Sunday through Saturday). No prizes, no rules, no 'starting price', no restrictions. As many entries as you want! You don't need to sign up for it .... just DO IT! Have fun! Share your listings by posting here. Thanks to all those that joined in on 'SEDUCTIVE' for last week. Super work! See 'Calendar' for future challenge weeks (posted monthly usually). To look at this week's challenge listings you can search on 'ACEO PUDDING'. You can also use one of 2 gifs in your listings IF YOU WANT. One is static, the other is animated. www dot jilliancrider dot com/AAEC.gif www dot jilliancrider dot com/A-AAEC.gif You're welcome to upload either or both to your pix hosts. Have fun! Good luck with your auctions! The dares are totally different. If you are interested in placing a dare, or giving a dare, please SIGN UP or put your suggestion in the appropriate thread - see the links at the top of the discussion threads. When there are 5 of each (you can only do one per set) the dares will be assigned and that dare set commences with its own thread. Group mystery dares are different again. There is a sign up thread, when there are 5 dare takers a single dare is given to all five. These dares are unseen until then. The Mystery Group Dares are different again. There are 3 threads, sign up, take ‘em, show ‘em’. Again 5 people need to sign up, but this time they have NO idea what the dare is, all 5 take the same dare. Starting again Late 2007, Early 2008?: Cross promotions. Post your listings on this thread to show them off! No studying. It was fine art training all the way for me, but I've led a secret life as an illustrator. I'm a self taught cartoonist. I learned from drawing in church.

Elizabeth II's Hat Looks Suspiciously Like a Pudding I haven't got around to listing it yet. Heck, the paint's just barely dry.

I left piles of those little attendance cards drawn with faces of the choir members. But really, have you studied???? I thought not. But for a measly $1500 I could coach you via a mail order course how to use watercolor. And especially watercolor pencils, high art indeed. Just Paypal it to me and we'll talk. But not in person. Persons are so difficult to deal with.

Re CHALLENGE: Week 101 Dec 2-8 “PUDDING”

I had suitcoat pockets full of drawings--until two years ago when a doctor friend of mine started buying me thin Moleskin books. Now I fill those. When ever a true artist's eyes are open he's studying. I crammed (kind of like studying)for uncounted art history tests. I never really studied until I started teaching. For years I've resisted pressure from the administration to offer online courses. Just this week I realized maybe that would be the way to deal with my growing dislike for students, especially in person.

The first thing I write on the board on the first day of watercolor class is "Watercolor is for sissies!" Watercolor pencils are for sissies who can't paint.

Lifting piles of watercolors isn't for sissies I'll tell you. Sis Bluesky and I recently moved HER mother into a very nice retirement home. And it fell to me to go thru some 50 odd years of watercolors. Stacks. Mounds. Storerooms full. Thousands, as she painted daily for years and also collected some of her friends work. And this after all family had taken every bit and more that they wanted. It made me go home and sift thru paper I hadn't moved around in a year. Into the trash. Along with canvases I no longer wanted to look at. Folks who say keep it all don't paint, don't REALLY paint, cause there would be no room for anything else. I forget who said an artist should paint like a pig eats but it makes for a crowded house.

I'm having the carpenter make her a new hut in the emu pen. I use a shotgun loaded with dry cat food fired over the pen for her meals, I like to think of it as 'an enrichment exersize' for her. I visit whenever I can.

It's a relief to hear she's doing so well, considering the possibilities I had imagined.

She looks blissfully happy - well done, golders. Mothers can be rather awkward. I'm told.

The cartwheel lessons sound like a good deal, Golders. It's probably something your Mum would enjoy.
